Lord, breathe Your life into Susan’s deepest hopes and dreams. Awaken a fierce passion inside her for the purpose You have placed on her life. Let her not just walk through her days, but let her run with endurance, fueled by the mighty power of Your love. Surround her with a blazing hedge of protection, casting out all fear, all anxiety, and all hesitation, so that she may step boldly into every door You open for her. Gracious God, When I am faced with criticism, grant me the patience to pause and the wisdom to listen without defensiveness. Where words feel sharp or unfair, soften my heart so that I do not answer in anger or pride. Help me to see my critics through Your eyes, extending the same grace and understanding that You so freely give to me. Teach me to discern any truth in their words that can help me grow, while giving me the peace to release what is meant only to tear down. Lord, I pray for peace where there is discord. Where communities are fractured and voices are raised in bitter conflict, bring Your calming presence to those troubled waters. Help us to walk away from strife and seek quiet paths. As we navigate through seasons that feel cold, isolating, or obscured by heavy snows, I ask for Your divine protection. Guard my steps, and please keep Andrea safe from the hidden traps and unexpected pitfalls that lie concealed along the journey. Give us the discernment to recognize deception, even when it appears absurd or easily brushed aside. When the ground gives way and we find ourselves vulnerable or brought low, be our immediate shield. The air around the shallow lake was thick with a strange, heavy tension. I could hear the bitter shouting echoing across the water, a fractured community turning on itself, the voices of Billy and Heather rising above the rest in a relentless, exhausting fight. The hostility was palpable, driving me away from the shores and into a suddenly shifting landscape. As dreamscapes often do, the world warped around me, replacing the angry lakeside with vast, silent fields of deep snow, framed by towering mountains that scraped a gray sky. I found myself walking along a narrow, packed path bordering Warren Road. The snowbanks on either side were massive, suffocating the landscape in a cold quiet that felt almost peaceful after the chaos of the lake. I reached a crossing and paused, catching my breath in the freezing air. Suddenly, the snowbank directly in front of me erupted. A rat the size of a full-grown raccoon tunneled violently out of the white drift. It didn't scurry away. It simply froze on the path, its dark, unblinking eyes locking dead onto mine. For a second, my heart jumped into my throat, startled by the sheer, unnatural size of the beast. But the shock quickly morphed into absurdity. I let out a sharp laugh, shook my head at the bizarre sight, and shrugged it off. It was just a rat, after all. I stepped forward, intent on leaving it behind. That single step was a catastrophic mistake. The ground beneath my boot vanished. I plunged downward, the freezing snow swallowing me up to my chest in a terrifying rush. I gasped, the breath knocked out of me, wedged tightly in a deep, hidden pit. It wasn't a natural collapse. The rat had dug it. I looked up, expecting the creature to have fled from the commotion. Instead, it was right where I left it, watching me fall. There was no fear in its posture, only a chilling, calculated patience. Now that I was buried up to my chest, my head was perfectly level with the snowpack. The rat’s demeanor instantly shifted from passive observer to active predator. With sudden, terrifying speed, it circled around the edge of the pit, its teeth bared, launching itself directly at my neck and face. The monstrous shadow blocked out the sky, its claws inches from my skin, and then my eyes snapped open. I bolted upright in the darkness of my room, my chest heaving, the cold dread melting into a profound, overwhelming wave of relief. Thank the Lord, I was awake, and I was safe.

Almighty God, we come before You in remembrance of the trials we have faced, bringing before Your throne those who have set themselves as our enemies. Lord, we ask that You pierce their hearts with the quiet, inescapable truth of their own deeds. Grant them the heavy gift of deep self-reflection. Strip away their justifications and allow them to clearly see the weight of the harm they have caused. Until they turn from their ways, we ask that You bind them in the very chaos they have created, halting their hands and restraining their plans so they can do no further harm. We release our desire for vengeance into Your sovereign hands, acknowledging that true and righteous judgment belongs to You alone. Yet, even as we ask for their restraint, we remember the cross and pray they encounter the profound mercy of Jesus. As Christ’s forgiveness reaches into their darkness to break their chains of bitterness, we ask that You soften their hardened hearts. Allow kindness and compassion to guide them from this day forward. Replace their hostility with genuine empathy, and may they no longer be led by malice, but by Your gentle grace. Transform their spirits, Lord, that they may walk onward in peace, love, and goodwill. In the holy name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Heavenly Father, we thank you for being such a faithful father. You are faithful and take care of us and when others have come against us, we let you take care of them. We remain full of light, love and peace. We are your children and know that when we offer forgiveness, we are forgiven in the same manner. We are here to do your will and not that of our own. We know that you sent your son to die on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins. We are washed in his blood and been made into a new creation. Heavenly Father, In a world filled with noise and endless demands on my attention, I seek Your peace and focus. Guard my mind against the constant tide of distractions that pull me away from my purpose. When my thoughts wander, gently guide them back. Heavenly Father, I come to You today asking for the grace to walk the specific path You have laid out for me. The future is hidden from my eyes, and I do not know what tomorrow will bring, but I find my peace in knowing that You hold all of my tomorrows in Your hands. Give me the strength to keep moving forward when the road gets steep and my spirit grows weary. When I feel inadequate for the journey ahead, remind me that I do not walk by my own power, but by Your grace sustaining me. Grant me the wisdom to discern Your voice above the noise of the world. I do not ask to see the entire map; I only ask for the clarity to see the next right step. Help me to make choices that honor You in the quiet, everyday moments. Give me a heart of obedience to follow Your will, especially when Your direction challenges my own understanding or asks me to step out of my comfort zone. Keep my feet firmly planted on Your path so that I do not wander to the left or to the right. Above all, Lord, deepen my faith. Teach me the profound discipline of walking step by step, trusting wholly in Your provision and Your perfect timing. When anxiety about the unknown tries to take root in my mind, replace it with the steadfast assurance that You have already gone before me to prepare the way.
